Wanted - a live-in au pair for 2 children, 1 dad (widowed), in a nice house by the sea in the town of Teignmouth in beautiful Devon. My daughter is 10 and my son is 13. I've a 25 year old step daughter who lives next door. We've also a cat, budgie, 2 guinea pigs and fish. The town where we live is a tourist resort with a lot to offer. We are less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the beach. We have a train station with direct services to major towns and cities along to London and up to Scotland. If you are interested in studying English, then the large medieval city of Exeter has a very good English Language school and is a 25 minute train journey. There are many trendy shops there too. Devon (the county where we live) is a very nice place to explore. Overall we are a friendly family and would like to include you in all our activities if you wish to do so. This may include trips to London where most of my family live, camping, surfing and days out.
I am looking for an au pair to be there for my two children when I cannot due to work and sometimes social commitments. This would involve taking responsibility for the children early mornings and early evenings during the week, plus staying in a couple of nights when I may be on an overnight trip away from home or out in the evening. The children are good at looking after themselves although my daughter will sometimes need walking to and from school. A car is normally available because I rarely use it for business. You would also be required to prepare some evening meals and carry out some general house tidying/cleaning duties. This will leave a lot of free time. Please do ask any questions.
