We are a family living less than 1 hour from the centre of London, United Kingdom. We have a little girl, Luna, who will turn 3 in January, and a little boy, Artie, who is now 9 weeks. Jane my partner is UK-born, I am Dutch. Our main language at home is English, but I speak only Dutch to Luna & Artie and Luna is fluent in Dutch as well. I would really like it if she can pick up some bahasa Indonesia as well (which I also speak fairly fluently). Hence au pairs from Netherlands, Flemish Belgium, Indonesia or Malaysia have a strong preference. As Jane has had difficulty getting back to normal fitness after our 2nd baby and because she may also start to take up some work in the beginning of 2015, we are looking for someone who could help us for a period of 4-6 months in the everyday running of our household, with a roughly 50/50 division of both child minding tasks as well as simple household jobs such as helping with laundry etcetera. We are looking for someone willing to work hard and give structure to our family household. In return we would like to help you to get the most out of your stay and help you to go out and see places, either together with our family or on your own.
We are looking at a 5 day working week, which will usually involve the weekdays. Once every 7 weeks there are about 9 days where extra help is needed particular in evening hours/night, or weekend days due to the shift work nature of my job. Luna goes to pre-school 2x/week. Typical days would involve helping in the running of the household with emphasis on laundry and putting clothes away and generally keeping the house clean. Some days this may involve some shopping. Cooking is not a must but will be appreciated. On the days of nursery Luna must be brought to the nursery and picked up. On other days we would like you to get involved with in particular Luna and keep her busy with either indoor or outdoor activities.
