We are a busy family with both parents working. We have had several au pairs in the last 5 years and we have enjoyed having them living with us. Our current au pair is finishing in one month and we are keen to find someone who can start at the end of May. We live in Brighton on the South Coast of England which is about 1 hour from London. It is a vibrant city with a good nightlife and many young people. The children go to school locally and attend many clubs and have many interests so our house is very busy! As the children are older, the role of au pair in our family is about making sure they don't forget homework or sports kit for school and also being a referee when they argue! You must be confident, strict and have a sense of humour to be part of our family.
You will be expected to work 3 days per week. You will make packed lunches and have breakfast with the children from 7.15am and take them to school at 8.45am. You will collect them from school at 3.15pm and look after them until 6.30pm/7pm. You will also walk the dog on these days too. Your accommodation is a lovely, big room at the top of the house with your own bathroom and a view of the sea.
