We are a happy family with two wonderful kids. Our boys are age 8 and 12 and we are looking for an au-pair to join us and help looking after them. They are jolly kids, but may show character from time to time, which is normal. However we expect the au-pair to be a loving person, approach the boys in all situations with calm manner and imaginative attitude, find fun games to play and encourage them to develop independence. This means not doing everything for them, but patiently encourage them to do things themselves, whenever possible and finding fun ways to prompt them if they are being stubborn kids and don't want to do something. We give the au-pair plenty of ideas for games, activities and how to deal with the kids. We love to laugh, cuddle with the kids, watch documentaries about the nature, animals, the Universe. We like going out to parks, cinema, theatre. The kids love swimming, circling, playing in the garden, especially football. We need someone to join us for the new school year, after we are back from summer holiday.
The boys are at an age when they become independent, so the role of the au-pair will not be as challenging as when one looks after young children, but still has it's responsibilities. We need the au-pair to drive our youngest son to school, the eldest is walking on his own. Also the au-pair is driving the boys to their clubs after school, twice a week. After school the au-pair is usually involved in supervising the kids, encouraging them to do homework, piano practice and do activities. In the morning the au-pair needs to wake up the boys, they do their own breakfast, but young one may need supervision, prepare one lunch box and drive the little one to school. Than is free until 15.00. Pick up time at school is at 15.15, than all the afternoon routine until 19.30, when the little one goes to bed, the eldest one goes later 21.00, but he does not need any supervision,so the day of the au-pair finishes at 19.30pm. We may ask the au-pair to be home once or twice a week in the evening, but may not be every week, usually nothing to do, just adult presence in the house if we are out. Light house work will involve : helping kids to tidy up their room and share hovering once a week together with the big boy. Be responsible for the hygiene of the bathroom he shares with the boys only. Iron boys school uniforms, only, nothing else. Help us clear after supper and help with chopping veggies for salad etc. not cooking, not washing clots
