We are a family of 4 with 2 outdoor loving boys. The oldest child is 9 and loves sport and cars; he plays football, judo, swims sings in the choir and loves chess. The youngest child is 7 and he loves football and swims too, he prefers dance and his guineapigs though! Both boys go to the local school 5 days a week and have a lot of their sport and activities after school. My husband and I both work full time in London. My husband works for a small start up involved in fashion and I work as a civil servant for The Sport Department. We live at the edge of London in a nice house with a garden. We walk to the local station to go to London every day, we are about 25 minutes from the centre of London. Petts Wood is quite a green town with a large wood for running or walking, there are also shops, restaurants and a couple of nice pubs.
We are looking for an au pair who will look after the children from 8-9 in the morning which will involved helping with their breakfast and walking them to school. You are then free until 3:15 when you need to pick the children up from school and look after them until 6:30 when I get home from work. The children do a lot of activities after school so some days you will need to take them (for example to the swimming pool for their lesson) and some days the activity is at school so you pick them up at 4:15. You will help cook their dinner in the evening and help with their weekly French homework. We will ask you to do the ironing and vacuuming once a week. The house is big and you have your own room on the ground floor with en suite so you can be independent. You won't work weekends or in the evening although we may ask for a night or 2 of babysitting.
