Our family is special. I know everyone on this site thinks that about their family, but ours is special in a different way because you are an essential part of it. You are a pillar who helps to keep us standing. You are a friend and mentor to our son, a supportive force in the household. This is not just a "position" within a family - you are part of the family, a critical piece of the many moving parts. You will help us start the day with an early rise to greet the morning and a healthy breakfast for us all to start the day. You will pack lunches and tidy behind us as we rush off into the city to school and work. You take pride in our household and you really love cats :-). Your experience in London will be an adventure. Once we are off into the world, the city and your day belongs to you. Big Ben, Tower Bridge, countless (free) museums and historic building and monuments fill your days until school is out and your day takes a special turn from seeing one of the greatest cities in Europe to through the eyes of a young adult exploring a new place to those of an energetic, curious and clever young boy impatient for activity and fun after his day in school. You'll swing in parks, jump in puddles and explore distant lands through imaginative play. A different kind of museum will entice you - the Museum of Childhood, the Science Museum, the Discover Centre. Maybe one afternoon you'll spend wandering through the mall, eyeing up toys before choosing a film to watch at the cinema.
Once you're home you're again an essential part of a busy household. You prepare a healthy and tasty meal for the family and clean the kitchen behind you, help with homework and remind about brushing teeth and changing into pyjamas. Some nights when Mom works late, you read bedtime stories to Son and tuck him into bed. The rest of the evening is yours to rest in your room at the top of the house, with your own toilet and shower, your own television and cable TV and wifi to Skype with your family and friends back home. You'll have the weekends off - most weeks that time begins at 430pm on Friday and doesn't end until the morning on Monday. This is family time for us and time for you to be independent, spend time with friends and recharge your batteries before the week begins again. You can explore and make friends in the most popular borough in London - Hackney. Our family is special, because you're a part of it. We are looking for someone to become a part of our family for 6 months beginning in September. You should know how to cook, do light housework, be mature but also a child at heart. You will get room and board, a large room and toilet to yourself and generous weekly pocket money. Weekends off. We are a three parent family - you will live with Mom, who is single, whilst Dad and Step Mom live in in a different house where you'll take Son every other weekend.
