Hello, I am Trish, and my husband is Henry. We are a busy family living in a huge old house with eight bedrooms and a large garden. Our town is a small town but has lots of shops including a health food shop, a small supermarket, several cafes and pubs. We run two small businesses. We have a 14 year old daughter Ruby who is learning German and French at school, and a three year old daughter Ricci. Ricci goes to pre-school four mornings a week and playgroup every friday. She loves school. We need someone who wants to learn all about life in countryside England. We are from England and New Zealand, and we love it here in Somerset. If you like cycling, this is a wonderful place to ride.
We sincerely hope that our au pair will enjoy living with us. We have a huge double bedroom for you and it's a really big house so there is plenty of room for you! We are looking for an au pair plus - someone to help us around 28 hours per week and it is a nice mix of jobs - looking after our three year old a few hours a day, helping me with our bed and breakfast business when our girl is at pre-school, and helping with things like folding laundry etc. We also have a small childrens' toy business and ideally we would love someone who likes variety and is keen to lend a hand at different things. (within the 28 hrs). We would make you feel part of our family and make sure you enjoy the UK. Ricci is very active and loves everything! We would like you to help her in early learning such as writing etc, which she is already doing. As we also have a cafe there is also the opportunity for you to work some hours in the cafe, for extra pay. We will also make sure you have plenty of time to yourself though - we are very reasonable people!
