We are a Norwegian/English family who live in London. We have a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old girl and are expecting another baby in July. Mum, who's Norwegian, is a stay at home mum, but doing a university degree part time. During the week we are all busy with work, studies, school, nursery, sports, after-school-activities and playdates. We therefore like to spend some quality time together as a family at the weekends, getting out and about and seeing our friends. Both our children like to be active and have a lot of personality. They are both very confident and sociable, so should be easy to get to know and get on with. We are looking for a person who shows a genuine interest in children, likes to take them out to the park, read/sing/play music/dance/draw and do other activities with them. We're a very active family, so we're looking for a person who likes to get out and about both together with us, as well as explore what London/UK has to offer independently. We live in a very child friendly part of south-west London. The area has lots of parks, shops and cafes and is very popular with young families like ourselves. It is only 20 minutes on the tube to the centre of the city.
We expect the au pair to help out for a couple of hours in the morning on weekdays, getting the two oldest children dressed, give them breakfast and take one of them to school/nursery. Then help out for 3 hours in the afternoon, picking up one of the oldest children from school/nursery, preparing dinner for the children and herself. Apart from that we expect the au pair to do some light housework, some grocery shopping and be available to babysit a couple of evenings per week.
