Dear au pair We’re so happy you’ve found our profile and are interested in becoming part of our family! We’re a warm, easy-going household with two wonderful boys — our eldest is 8, and our youngest is 7 and has autism. Both are full of personality, curiosity, and energy, and we’re looking for someone patient, caring, and fun-loving to share everyday life with us. We also have quite the furry family, three friendly dogs and three affectionate cats, so an animal lover will feel right at home here! Our home is just 20 minutes from central London, which means you can enjoy the excitement of the city as well as the peace of the countryside. We are surrounded by nature, walking trails, and fresh air, offering the best of both worlds. We’re looking for an au pair who can drive, as part of your role will include school drop-offs and pick-ups. We’d also appreciate someone who can prepare light meals for the boys, occasionally help with homework, and lend a hand with small household tasks related to the children. We hope to find someone who enjoys spending time with children, has a positive attitude, and is open to new experiences. Tasks include: - Driving the boys to and from school and activities. - Preparing light meals for the children. - Helping with homework when needed. - Organizing fun activities and playtime. - Supporting daily routines, including getting the children ready for school. - Occasional help with children-related household tasks. We aim to make the role varied and enjoyable while maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal time. The position will require early mornings during the week, as we often leave for work before the children are awake. During school hours, the au pair will have free time to relax and pursue personal interests, and the evenings are generally light, so you’ll have plenty of time to unwind or explore the city. A typical schedule would look like: - 6am - 9am: Get yourself and the children ready for school and drop them off. - 3pm - 6pm: Pick the children up from school, prepare a light meal for dinner, begin getting the children ready for bed.
