We are a warm, kind and lively family living just outside London in a beautiful part of the world. We have two gorgeous bright daughters and we want to welcome an au pair plus into our family to help us look after them as we both work. We are looking for a dynamic, friendly girl with lots of initiative and a good sense of humour. Our home is loving and fun, and we are experienced with having au pairs before so know how to welcome you to the UK. Fluent English and a confident driver are essential skills. We live in a large village just outside London, with regular train links into town. Our home is spacious and comfortable, and we have annexe accommodation for our au pair, consisting of a double bedroom, shower room and sitting room. Our au pair also has access to a car, giving plenty of freedom and independence. Previous au pairs have loved living with us because you get the best of both worlds, more space than if you lived in town, but it is easy to get into the more cosmopolitan world in the capital. We have two fun loving daughters who attend a school a short drive away. My husband and I both work in London and commute in, but my husband is home in the late afternoon usually, and I am off work on Fridays. We need help in the mornings getting the girls ready and dropped off at school, but then they are there often until 5pm, leaving your days free once you have completed some chores around the house (the laundry and ironing, wash the kitchen floor, empty/load the dishwasher, walk the dogs) to entertain yourself, or attend a college course perhaps. We are very approachable and open people, and expect the same in return. We value flexibility, some weeks you won't do your full hours, and perhaps others during school holidays, you may do extra. We also have pets, 2 well trained spaniels and an elderly fluffy cat. Monday - Thursday we will ask you to walk the dogs, so don't apply if you don't like animals!We expect honesty, loyalty, kindness and good initiative from our au pair. Our girls are lively and mischievous, and you will need to be confident with them. They are also terribly sweet and fun, and enjoy lots of outdoor activity, arts and crafts, watching movies on a Friday night and make believe games. We can provide a clear timetable for the au pair so you will know what needs doing and when. The girls rooms being tidy and their bathroom being clean and all their laundry is the au pairs responsibility. We also would like all ironing to be done. You don't need to be a good cook, I can leave food most of the time, so long as you can boil an egg or make some pasta that's fine! We would like an au pair plus, so working up to 40 hours per week with the option of 2 evenings babysitting. In reality you will work nothing like this much, but we ask it so that during school holidays you will be flexible with us. You can take 20 days holiday per year, 10 days to be chosen by you, and 10 by us, plus extra time off over bank holidays and the Christmas break. All leave to be agreed with plenty of notice. You have your own living space away from the family complete with TV, Netflix, apple TV, WiFi, DVD player, a comfortable double bed, modern and clean shower room and cosy sitting room space. You have access to your own car, and where we live there are lots of other au pairs who build up a big social network so you won't be lonely. Our village has lots of pubs, a cafe, a convenience shop, a sports club and is very beautiful. We are close to larger towns with theatres, cinemas, bowling alleys and high street shops. The train station is a 5 minute drive away, and trains to central London take half an hour.
