We are a relaxed and informal family looking for an au pair to join our family to help take care of our twin girls aged 6, our cockerpoo dog, and our cat. We are looking for a responsible 'big sister' type of person who is willing to help with whatever needs to be done. The twins, Chloe and Daisy, are 6 years old now and they love to dance and sing. They are very sociable and loving with everyone, and especially the au pairs who have come to stay with us. Mom is an Americana musician and sometimes has to travel on tour for a few days at a time, so after helping you to settle in, you would need to feel comfortable taking sole charge of the children. Dad is a fund manager from Switzerland, and went to university in Philadelphia so he speaks 'American' too. :-) We live in a big house with a garden in Muswell Hill, a hip and sought after part north London. We are within walking distance to some great shops and restaurants and a huge beautiful park with a view of the whole of London called Alexandra Palace Park. If you want to go into Central London it is also easily accessible from the Piccadilly Line tube station nearby, called Bounds Green. There are several very good language schools nearby as well. You will have your own lovely quiet room overlooking our big garden with fruit trees and roses, your own TV with Netflix and Apple TV, high speed internet, and access to a car. We have bicycles that you are welcome to take out and about as well.
We would like it if our au pair could help to get the children ready for school and drive them or pick them up and take them to their after school activities if needed, to help the children with their homework, and to be willing to walk and feed the dog and the cat. We have a housekeeper to do the big cleaning jobs in the house, but we would like it if the au pair can help to keep the laundry going and load and unload the dishwasher, and to help cook the children's meals. You would normally have 4 hours of spare time per day when the kids are in school.
