Introduction personnelle
I have never worked as an au pair before, but I have regular experience spending time with and taking care of children through my family and my work as an English tutor. I have two younger sisters, and my family also took in two younger relatives when they were five and eight years old. They lived with us for about two years, and during that time I helped take care of them alongside my younger sister. I also sometimes help look after my younger nieces and nephews when their parents are busy.
I currently work as an English tutor, mainly teaching children and teenagers. Through this experience, I have learned to be patient, responsible, and attentive to different personalities and needs. I also enjoy doing activities with children, such as reading stories, playing games, doing crafts, and spending time outdoors.
I would like to become an au pair abroad because I genuinely want to experience everyday life in another culture rather than simply visiting as a tourist. I have always been interested in foreign languages and enjoy meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. Living with a host family would give me the opportunity to learn a new language, experience Dutch culture firsthand, and share my own Indonesian culture and experiences as well.
I also see becoming an au pair as an opportunity to become more independent, adaptable, and confident. I have lived away from my family in a different city since high school, but I have never lived in another country before. I would love to take this next step while building a meaningful relationship with a host family and creating a positive experience together.
