Myself and my partner Amy run a small Inn on the Isle of Mull whilst co-parenting my 3 year old daughter Darcy. We live on the shores of the stunning Sound of Mull in a characterful hotel and restaurant. In order to be involved in our business running we require a lively and energetic Au Pair to help with Darcy, including school runs and day trips etc. We are a very close family with a great staff who all help keep Darcy entertained. Growing up in an adult environment, Darcy has exception social and communication skills and we are very proud of her ability to mix with adults and children of all ages. She is equally confident and independent and happy to spend time on her own with her arts and crafts, books and interactive computer programmes and games. We need a new member of the Craignure Inn family to join us and bring energy and excitement to our beautiful home here in the majestic Western Isles.
Darcy attends school Monday - Friday from 8.45 to 12pm. Therefore our Au Pair will need to drive the 15 minute drive to the school. For the 3 hours that Darcy is at school is it an option for the Au Pair to do some work at the Inn including housekeeping etc - we only have three rooms so this is low-level work and would only be in days when pour Housekeeper is off. In the afternoons we would like Darcy to have an exercise and an activity including any of the following: Swimming at the local Spa hotel Nature walk or drive out to somewhere on the island Arts and crafts - painting, drawing, clay, beads etc etc - we have a huge collection of arts and crafts as she is very creative There are many places locally and slightly further afield for the Au Pair and Darcy to visit and when we can we will attend as a family group. Darcy has dinner at around 5pm which we will cook in the kitchens of the Inn but would need our Au Pair to sit with her and chat to her as she eats. At around 6pm Darcy has a bath in our cottage behind the Inn which requires only the running of the bath as Darcy plays quite happily on her own for half an hour. At around 7pm it is bedtime which includes a story, sitting for a short time while she goes down, and sitting in our lounge watching TV or reading a book etc while she drifts off - sometimes she will come through and try and stay up but a quick usher back into bed and she generally goes off pretty well. This is a nice relaxing time for the Au Pair because while Darcy goes to sleep she/ he can do whatever they choose until she is fully asleep - we will be in the kitchen at the Inn just a few steps away. Darcy is an intelligent and fun child to be around and we are confident that coupled with the amazing surroundings that we live in and the full support of our "staff family" our Au Pair would have an amazing summer in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK.
