Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit our profile. We are currently looking for our next au pair to join our family (March / April). We have had three excellent au pairs previously. We are a fun family with busy lives so our au pair is central to everything we do and we want you to feel part of our family. We are a lively family of four who live in Northwood which is in London (Metropolitan line). We have two energetic, fun loving boys aged 6 and 4. Both of our children are at school and we both work. We live on a military base where there are a lot of other young families around and there are many au pairs so there is a fun social life if you desire.
We have 2 children. Both are boys with Sam being aged 6, and William is 4. Sam is in Year 2 and William is in reception at the local school which is a short 5-minute walk from our house. They start school at 08:45 and finish at 15:15 every day. They are very active and fun-loving children who adore going out and playing in the park and basically just enjoy being children. I work in London and will endeavour to be home every night between 18:30 - 19:30. My husband, Alex is in the Armed Forces and works on the base that we live on so he is often on hand should the need arise but unfortunately due to the nature of his work sometimes he can be away for periods of time however when he is at home he wants to spend time with his family. As I mentioned we live on an army base which makes the environment that you join incredibly friendly with many things organised should you wish to get involved. You will be able to use a wonderful gym which runs gym classes on the base and be able to go to family events etc. Additionally, in Northwood we are members of a very nice exclusive club which has swimming pools, tennis courts and children's clubs. You will from time to time be able to visit there and use the facilities. It is also where the children do some of their clubs and activities after school. We have a nice cosy home and large garden - four bedrooms and have a second sitting room which you can use in the evenings to have your own space although we do want you to feel part of our family so you are more than welcome to join us. You will have your own room and share a bathroom with us. In the evenings, you can have a friend around or watch something on TV you can use the other room. On weekends, we are a busy family and you will be able to have this time off except of the odd occasion where we might ask you to do a little babysitting. Our kids love the outdoors, enjoy school and have many friends. They are active children and adore sports and swimming as well as learning to play the drums. We live in London and have a lovely large house and garden and are located 10 minute’s walk from the nearest tube station which takes you into central London. A lot of amenities are within easy walking distance however you will have use of our car to take the children places. The tube only takes approx. 30 min to Central London so everywhere is easy to access if you want to explore! Our au pair is central to our family life and allows Alex and I to do our jobs with the confidence that our children are well looked after. Our au pair will be responsible for the morning routine in getting both Sam and William to school alongside doing the pickups each day. The ability to drive is essential to enable the children to take part in other activities. Our au pair will need to prepare the children’s food, wash their clothes, help with homework and do some light housework once a week. Most weekends will be free for you to explore the rest of the UK. We need our au pair to have a good level of English so the children can communicate easily with you and vice versa.
