We are a family of 3 living in Birmingham, a big city in the west midlands, united kingdom. Leonardo is now 14 so he really does not need anymore a full-time au pair but more someone staying with him while we are away. whereas, Aleena needs more attention and time. My job is so demanding and requires a lot of travelling. I am a marine biologist who works with communities in developing countries. Leonardo is a bright, active boy who loves basketball, soccer, catching up with friends and travelling, while his sister spends most of her time reading and studying. Leonardo is at school most of the day during the week and after he usually has sport activities on, homework or friends over. We live 2 minutes from the shopping mall and our apartment has a stunning view of the the city as it is on the 34th floor. it is also 5 minutes walk fro coffee shops, restaurants, and the 'city centre. The Au pair would have his/her private room with ensuite toilet and bath.
We are looking an active, organised Au pair able to work independently when I am not around. Being Leo 14 and staying at school most of the day during the week, the au pair will have a lot of free time because most of the time Aleena is studying or at her friends house. during the week the Au pair will wake up with Leo and Aleena, prepare them the daily lunch box while they get ready and then take them to school by 815 (the school is 10 minutes away). You will need to go pick them up at 3:20 pm. During this time the Au pair should keep the common areas (living area, kitchen and his room/bathroom) of the house tidy (e.g. vacuum, mop the floor clean the kitchen), do the shopping and take care of the laundry. For the rest of this time, she would be able to do her own stuff, take advantage of the mall or find an extra work if interested. In the afternoons the Au pair should take Leo to his sport activities, help him out with his homework and organise fun stuff to do together and with his friends. the evenings/nights are free. When I am away the Au pair will be required to do more or less the same things but he will have the responsibility to stay with them during the nights. Looking forward to hearing from you !
