Hi My husband, Rob and I have been married for 8 years and we are looking for someone to help us care for our one child, our little boy Dexter. Dexter is 5 years old and has just finished reception class at our local Church of England school which is in walking distance of our home. Dexter is a very loving and affectionate little boy. He has lots of personality but is very well behaved. Dexter enjoys being active, he loves going to the beach or the park. He loves to climb trees, he loves swimming and generally being out doors. If it's raining he's just as happy cuddling up on the sofa with a good movie! Dex loves having stories read to him and also reading himself. He has learned to sign at school and loves showing us what he has learned in sign language! My husband & Dexters daddy, Rob, is 38 and is the director of a small insurance mediation company about 15 miles away from our home. I am 43 and own and run a busy hairdressing salon a five minute walk from home. We both work full time hours although I am more available during the day than Rob! We have just bought a very large Edwardian mansion apartment in the town, close to lots of great shops and bars and only a very short walk from the beach. The apartment is being renovated while we are living here so it's definitely NOT luxury but our au pair will have lots of their own space, a bathroom next to their room and we will do everything we can to make them comfortable. We are looking for someone who is mature, pro active and confident enough to deal with a lively 5 year old. He will need to be looked after from Tuesday to Friday and there will be some helping out on other days, although Rob and I will be there Sat, Sun and most Mondays. Excellent English is essential as Dexter is a very chatty little boy and loves to have conversations. His au pair must be able to chat with him and understand him.
