We are looking for another wonderful girl to take over from our much loved au pair who leaves us in early August. We have had several au pairs from different countries over the years and enjoyed having them with us. They in turn have had an enjoyable time with us. Our au pairs have usually become part of the family and a few have chosen to stay with us for 2 years or even more! We live in a small town near London. The town centre is 10 minutes away by bicycle. There are local shops and clubs, a library, a leisure centre, a lovely park and English courses available nearby. There are easy buses to bigger towns and we are only 55 minutes from the centre of London by the Underground (Metro). Our home has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a pretty garden. Our au pair has a nice room of her own and a bathroom that is only used by herself unless we have guests staying. There is WiFi and she can use one of our laptops or bring her own. There is a car she can use to get around locally.
We need an au pair who will stay with us for at least a whole year. Our au-pair’s main duties are making the children breakfast, driving them to/ from activities, helping in the evening with preparing dinner, doing laundry and ironing clothes, but she must be prepared to be flexible. For instance, we have a cleaner but there is still a little general tidying to do. The children's grandmother usually helps with dinner and household things. Don't worry about the driving - the car has an automatic gearbox and we always get our new au pair a few driving lessons first! When settled in, our au pair usually has quite a lot of free time each day between her duties, so has time to do courses. Our previous au pairs have studied cookery and Biology and of course English. Both weekend days are usually free. We want someone easygoing but also responsible, someone who wants to live in a different place and have new experiences, and of course we will help our au pair to have a happy and productive time with us.
