We are a very friendly and loving Canadian family who have been in London for about 8 years and are looking for someone to join our family for the foreseeable future. We have had an au pair since January, who is going back to France in April or May, and has been an amazing part of our family. It will be a tough act to follow, but we hope to find someone equally special. We live in a lovely and fairly central part of London and both kids go to school full-time. We both work full time although I work reduced hours so that I have more time with the kids. We are in the process of moving to a different part of London which might make life a little bit hectic in the near future, but hopefully you will be flexible and help us settle in to our new neighbourhood!
We are in the process of moving to a different area of London (East Dulwich) and I will be driving the kids to school in Fulham in the morning until the end of the school year. I need someone to help get the kids ready in the morning before I take them in the car, and to pick them up after school. I will meet you and the kids shortly after school and we will all drive home together. Then I would like your help to play with the kids until around 6 when we start bathtime etc. I have a cleaner who comes weekly but I'd like someone to do an hour of tidying and light cleaning every day after the kids have left for school. We'd also like one weekday and one weekend night a week of babysitting (although we won't always use it), and a bit of help on Saturdays. You would otherwise be free weekdays from about 8-2 and 6pm onwards, and all day Sundays. The kids finish school mid July, and I will need you to look after them for longer days for two or 3 weeks; you would need to be comfortable looking after the kids on your own while I'm at work. We will then be away from the 6-29th of August. Ideally I'd like to find someone who would come back at the end of August and stay on with us. We are a very easy going and loving family, and the kids are really well behaved and fun, so life with us should be quite nice!
