We are a family with three young children and two cats living in the sea side town of Worthing. We are about 20 minutes by train from a large city (Brighton) and about an hour and a half from London. We like sight-seeing and camping and going to the beach with the children. This would be an ideal post for someone who wants to get a regular job in the country to practice their English or who has their own saving and just wants plenty of free time to go out and sight see. Your free time is your own and there will be no curfews or after hours work so you can make plans/find additional work. Weekends would always be free. We want someone responsible and mature, and with a good manner around children, able to tidy up after themselves. (I don't expect the au pair to do any cleaning for the family, but I expect you to clean up after yourself or any mess you make with the children. ) This is also our first time hosting someone in our house so we would be willing to accept a short term placement. In exchange for the 3 hours a day we can offer a room and all food/ basic toiletries only. No pocket money. We don't really care about nationality but we would like a French, Spanish or German native speaker. Occasional babysitting would be paid hourly and arranged separately (if you were interested and would not be required).
Hello! What we are looking for is someone to do 3 hours a day from 7am-10am (Monday through Friday) with our children. We don't really need an au pair, we just need someone to do language play with them. So this would be singing songs, playing games and generally always speaking to them in your language. No cleaning. We know it is an unusual set up and not for everyone but we think it is fair as there will be few hours and no house work. I was an au pair when I was younger and much preferred having independence.. I didn't want to be treated as another child! You are welcome to go out in the evening and do whatever you want in your own time, all we ask is that you are quiet on returning :) You can eat with us a family or make your own dinners with whatever is in the fridge. My children and I are vegetarians, my husband is a meat eater. I don't mind a smoker but it HAS to be outside. Hope to hear from you, message me if you have any questions!
