We are a family of four, with two boys aged 7 and10. They are in 2nd and 5th grade. We have just moved back to Norway from two years in USA. I work as a surgeon at the Norwegian Radium Hospital, my husband works abroad. We are a tri-lingual family, Norwegian, English and Welsh. We need help in the mornings getting the boys ready for school; waking them up, helping with clothes, making breakfast and school lunch. We also need help in the afternoons picking the youngest up from school and preparing dinner. I will be home most afternoons in time to eat dinner with the kids and the au-pair and then I do homework with the boys and take them to afternoon activities. Some days I am on call, these days our au-pair would have to help with the above and also put the boys to bed. We would also appreciate help in the house with laundry and cleaning. We have a designated large room and private bathroom for the au-pair in our lower level. Our past nanny stayed with us for six years, but left when we moved to the US. We think of ourselves as a happy family where an au-pair would feel safe and appreciated.
