I am a doctor working in the town hospital. once a week I have to be on call ( I don't know if nights also), the other days I finish at 16:oo hrs. the children are good and easy going, and they have school activities until 16:30. the little one goes to kindergarten (barnehage), the other to primary (barneskole) we talk in english & spanish, and are starting with norsk. Kristiansand is a beautiful place, with a youthful population because it has a university, it has many coffee places mad restaurants the children are well raised and well behaved. there will be no trouble with them.
you could go every morning to a language course, there is a university in town. I would need help with the children: you could pick up the smallest if needed, as it's in walking distance. Help with them when I'm on call or I have to work. give them dinner (cook it), bath, etc. You will have one or two days off a week. what WON'T happen: you will not be expected to work more than the legal hours (I think it's 5 or 6) you will have your free days, if I need for any important reason (usually work) for you to take care of my children I will pay extra. I don't not be "taking advantage" of anybody. what I want NOT to happen: smoking in front of the children, getting home drunk or on drugs. there are no men in the house
