We are a fairly busy family, doing the usual things - trips to the park, sporting activities, going to cafes and visiting friends. During the week, we have a fairly regular routine of school and then coming home for tea and homework! At the weekends, we might have a swimming lesson on Saturday mornings, following by a cafe or park visit. I am looking for someone who can get the two boys up in the morning and ready for school, - they can dress themselves, so the role would just be to ensure that shirts and trousers are on in the correct way! And to give them some breakfast, [toast/fruit] and then walk them the 15 mins or so, to their school for 8:30am. They wake up around 7am and I leave for work at 06:30. I would then need an au pair to pick them up again at 3:30, [or slightly later if they had an after school activity] and walk them home again and give them a tea. Their Father doesn't live with us but he would be doing some of the school drop offs in the morning and both of us would be doing some of the pick ups in the afternoon. If the person looking for a role as an au pair needed time during the week, to attend a language school, we could accommodate this as both Mother and Father would be able to do some of the drop offs to school and collection. I am looking for someone who does not mind early starts and overseeing two boys who are active and like to run around and keeping them in order! They are very well behaved but are full of energy.
The au pair would be required, [on the agreed days etc] to give the children some breakfast on school days, and then walk them to school for 8:30am. They would also be required to pick them up again at 3:30pm and walk them back home and give them a light tea, if myself or the boys' Father was not able to at that time. Sometimes they have after school activities, which would mean they would finish later. Their Father and I also do some pick ups. There would also be some light housework, i.e. emptying the dish washer or putting laundry on in the washing machine and putting the boys' clothes away in their bedroom. We have a cleaner already who would do all other house cleaning. I would also be looking for someone who could babysit one or two nights a week. Sometimes this might be twice a week, but sometimes there would be no requirement during the week. It is possible that some nights/days, the boys would stay at their Father's house, which would mean more free time for an au pair!
