We are a family with two children (4 years and 19 months). Every other weekend we have my partner's daughter over as well. We need help with entertaining them ( playing with them, sometimes going to the playground). Normally my son is at school during the day, though, and it is only my daughter that I need help with. You will look after her when I need to work in the garden, go to the gym etc. You will sometimes help me prepare lunch or dinner and tidy up toys and mess the children make. You will also sometimes babysit in the evening when we go out. Usually I will be around most of the time. We normally spend every other weekend (and all school holidays) in London where we have a house too. I come from the Czech Republic originally and speak Czech to the children. They are genuinely bilingual. Their father is English.
We will expect the au-pair to work 30 hours per week (6 days per week) and are offering £80 per week. We are usually out and about during the day and au- pair would often come with us. We go to the beach a lot, or visit friends and various places. Because our village is small and there is not much public transport, it would be better if you could drive. You would not drive the children but could use the car in your spare time to go out to the cinema etc. We are flexible and hopefully will manage to make our au-pair feel at home :-)
