We are Steve & Addie; an irish/english professional family in our early-mid 30s with 2 young boys, a 2.5 yr old called Rory and a 1 week old called Jake. Both Addie and I work in finance and our Rory goes to nursery around the corner from our house during the day. Addie is on maternity leave at the moment and will return to work in about 6-9 months. We enjoy family, sport, friends and spend many weekends on the south coast of england at a home we have there.
Daily tasks include: -Getting Rory for nursery in the morning and taking him there (approx 150 metres from home). -Collecting him in the evening -Keeping the house tidy, cleaning up, unloading dishwasher etc. (we have a cleaner who comes once a week for a full vacuuming/cleaning) -clothes washing Less frequent tasks: -putting bins out for collection -ordering the shopping for the household -organising playdates for the children with other au pairs/nannies in the area We are looking for someone to do 40hrs p/w for £100. Some weeks you will work fewer hours, but you will always get £100 minimum. There is also the option to earn extra money if you want to do more hours, eg babysitting for friends, admin tasks around the house at a generous overtime rate. We offer a substantial sized bedroom in a large London house with good transport links, high speed wifi, sky tv throughout the house etc. We provide food and daily transport costs as well. We are both very busy and are looking for someone with enthusiasm and drive to really own the role. In our best case scenario, you are essentially managing the household day to day. You don't need to have years of childcare experience; we don't! But we are looking for someone who has a natural rapport with children, a lot of patience and the requisite amount of discipline to help our boys as best as possible.
