We are a family of four, me (Jessica), my husband (Paul) and our two lovely sons (William -6 and George - 4) and we live in a village not far from Norwich (approx 20 mins by bus). We have had 3 previous au pairs, one from Germany and two from Spain and have been very lucky with them all. I was also an au pair in Germany when I was younger so am fully aware of what life as an au pair is like! I teach German at a High school and work three days a week and my husband is a surveyor in norwich working full time. William is at school and George at pre-school (both in our village) and both are very motivated and fun loving!
We are looking for an au pair who has experience of working with children and of living away from home/is domesticated. The au pair will usually work three days a week (Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays) and occasionally be asked to do some babysitting in the evenings or at the weekend. They will be required to take care of the children before school/pre school and then take them to and collect them from school and pre school. They will need to do some basic housework while the children are not in the house on these three days but will be expected to see when jobs need doing and help without always having to be asked. After school/pre school, the au pair will be required to play with the boys. They love reading, lego and colouring and obviously watching the TV!! Occasionally I will be later home from work so will not be able to cook the evening meal and on these occasions the au pair would be required to cook (things can be prepared by me in advance if au pair wishes) The most important thing for me and my husband is that our boys are safe and happy so if you feel you can offer this, please contact us!
