I am a full time working Consultant Doctor, normal working day 08:30-18:00, I do on-calls in Hospital for 1 week every 7 week where I may need to attend hospital in the evening or during night time. I have two wonderful kids, my son aged 12 who attends secondary school and my daughter aged 6 who goes to primary school. They are very well behaved, bright, happy and active kids who love playing outside, going to park, watching TV, playing on X-box, reading and doing arts and crafts. They attend school between 08:45 - 15:15. During weekends we are usually busy swimming, cycling, going to parks, library, meeting friends. We like going out to restaurants, movies, and theatres. My son enjoys football, and also goes to basketball and tennis. My daughter is taking gymnastic and swimming lessons. We have no pets. We live in a house with 5 bedrooms so plenty of space in the house. Although where we live is a small town, there are many places to enjoy, including the beaches, woods, Yorkshire Moors and Dales, with New Castle and York being the nearest big cities. We love each others company and I love spending time with my kids outside when the weather is ok.
Get the kids ready for school in the morning (dress up, breakfast) walk my daughter to school (which is only few meters away - 2 minute walking). My son walks to school on his own. After school, my daugther will need collecting from school. They will need tea (healthy snacks), relaxing time after school (watching TV, chatting, arts crafts, reading, playing in the garden) so someone is needed for supervision. They will also need supervision while revising their school work (which takes no more than 20 min daily, my son will need promting; my daughter will need someone sitting with her to go through her hand writing / reading practice; she loves school and is a very bright kid so no issues). I usually come home around 18:00-18:20 so will be looking after them after my work. I will also need some help with light housework, e.g. help with tidying up kids bedrooms (which the kids should be encouraged to do anyway), getting their tea ready, kitchen work (e.g. getting kids meals ready), dishes, changing kids beds sheets, vacuuming the house. One in every 7 weeks, I do an on-call shift so I may be called to hospital for emergencies with a short notice. During those times, the kids will an adult's presence in the house if I need to go to hospital (this usually happens once during a week) one in every 7 weeks I work weekends, and will need au-pair looking after the kids during that weekend (usu 08:00-17:00) but can be unpredictable
