Hi - we are a warm and friendly family who love living as part of a great community with lots of au pairs at the heart of it, just 1 hour from London. Both mum and dad work, but love to be as hands on as possible with the children. Our boys, Cameron and Fraser, love the outdoors and enjoy playing football, rugby, tennis, cricket - in fact, anything with a ball! We have moved house recently and have a big garden where they can run round and burn off all of their energy. I (Mum) work in recruitment and am about to start my dream job helping to recruit graduates. I love working with young people and helping them reach their true potential. My husband works in marketing and coaches the local youth football team - he is also a great cook! We are looking for an outgoing au pair who can think on their feet and be flexible when we need a little extra help. We need a driver, and someone who is happy dealing with 2 energetic boys! 4 generations of my family live in the town, so there is always support there for our au pair (we have had 2 so far). The most important thing to me is we have someone who wants to be an au pair and explore the experiences this can bring.
Mondays to Fridays our au pair will help get the children breakfast (c. 7am) and encourage them to do their teeth (although the boys are almost able to do this themselves now). They will then drop the boys at each of their schools. The day up until the collection at 3pm and 3.30pm is pretty much theirs - there are some light household duties to be done every day, but I am open as to when these are done (load / unload the dishwasher, sweep and vacuum floors and help boys tidy their rooms). The end of the days are filled with clubs and friends to stay and we would ask the au pair prepare and oversee a healthy dinner (we'd provide recipes etc) - typically, the day would finish between 1830 and 1900, but occasionally we will need someone to work a little later.
