Our busy little family consists of myself (mum) Beth, Dad - Jeff, Romy 6 and a half and Eliza 8 weeks. Jeff and I are both doctors work and we work in London which is a 20 minute commute from where we live, a small city in the suburbs. Romy, our big girl likes swimming, gymnastics and playing with friends. She also loves to read books , bake cakes and play with her new baby sister. Eliza joined our family on 21st November 2013 and is a calm and contented baby. Currently she likes to eat sleep and play! In his spare time Jeff likes to play with Romy and Eliza especially going on long walks. When not hanging with his family Jeff likes to play his large collection of American soul records. I am at my happiest with all my family but when not playing with them I like to do power yoga. We also have in our family at the moment our Spanish au pair Merche who has been with us for the last 12 months but is sadly planning to leave us around the end of March. We are looking for someone who will take over from her and help with school runs and after school care for Romy, occasional baby drop-off and pick-up from nursery and some light housework.
We have 2 children, Romy age 6 and Eliza now 2 months. We would expect our au pair to mainly be involved in taking care of Romy before and after school. You would also walk Romy to school every morning and pick her up every day at the end of school (15 minutes walk). She also has some after school activities such as ballet and gymnastics and so she may need to be taken to these and picked up. We will arrange for you to be able to drive one of our cars. During the day we hope you will be able to undertake some light housework such as vacuuming and cleaning the kitchen a couple of times a week and assist with the childrens laundry. We also hope that our au pair will actively engage and play with Romy during the time that you have her. She loves arts and crafts and drawing as well as dancing, swimming, music and cooking. We ask that you feed Romy when she comes back from school and ideally cook for the family once or twice a week. I am currently on maternity leave but will be returning to work in May. Ideally you would start a few weeks before I return so you can settle in and get an idea what our family and the area is like. When I return to work Eliza will go to a nursery. We hope you will be able to help out with some nursery drop offs and pick ups as well when we are not able to do it. We don’t expect you to look after her on your own unless or until you feel confident to do so as she is still very little.
