Dear Aupair, We are looking for a confident, cheerful, active person to join our family. We are an active family who enjoy sport and getting out and about and making the most of each day. Both my husband and I work full time and so we need someone to help us look after our children and assist with all the after school activities that four young boys get involved in. We have four boys; James who is 12 and so starting to become a young man and all the hormonal changes that brings; James loves his sport and wants someone who will take an interest in his activities but give him his space; Thomas is 9 and a very loving little boy but who is very laid back with life and so does need to be kept organised; Oliver is 5; he is a very happy, smiley little boy who has an insatiable appetite to lean and so enjoys reading and doing new things; Daniel is 4 and quite a 'live wire'; he loves gymnastics and playing but does need to be supervised as he can sniff out trouble at 20 paces! We want someone to become part of our family so to want to join in with us; we totally respect that the aupair must have their own time as well but we hope that they will want to join us in as much as they can; our children our our most precious assets and so we want the aupair to love and cherish the boys and want to play with them and help them learn and develop. In return, we will provide a nice house and try to help them make the most of their time in the UK; we will always endeavour to provide a happy home as we believe if the aupair is happy, they will do the best for our children.
My husband and I work full time so it means that we need more help with the children while we are away at work; all of the boys are at school so for them it is a case of helping to get them up and ready for school and then taking them to school; then it is picking the boys up from school and giving them tea; getting their packed lunches ready, doing the kids washing and ironing and keeping their rooms tidyish; helping with homework and generally being another pair of hands to help my husband and I. Babysitting odd evenings but to be honest, we don't get out that often as we are usually too tired! Weekends are generally your own, any arrangements we have are by mutual agreement with the aupair; We very much want an aupair who will want to join in with us and that we can help to enhance their experience in another country; we currently have a Spanish girl who stays in her room the whole time and is not beneftting herself or us! We will always try to respect your privacy and need to have some time off for yourself but living under one roof means that we need everyone to muck in, get the stuff done and then we can all enjoy some downtime. We live in a small village which is very well situated for exploring other parts of the country or indeed jumping on a plane and going abroad.
