We live in Scotland and would like to have our first au pair during summer 2014. Welcome to our family! We have two lovely little boys and have a spacious house and large garden in the country with a village, cafe and pub close to us. Our au pair would have their own bedroom with king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom so they would have their own space. We would like a responsible person who is able to drive and who likes the idea of looking after two lovely little boys who are full of fun but really quite well behaved - most of the time! There are lots of lovely walks and cycle routes around where we live and we are 5 miles from a main line station where it is easy to take trains to explore in Edinburgh (40 mins away), Newcastle (40 mins), York and London (3.5 hours) and across the UK. We are friendly and relaxed and enjoy travel and meeting people from different countries.
We have our own business running weddings and events and we are very busy over the summer. We would like somebody to help to look after our two sons during this time. It would sometimes be during the day while we are at work, or other times they would be with their regular childminder during the day but we would like to be able to go for a swim or a walk or to the cinema in the evening and know that our children are safe and being looked after while they are asleep. We do not work every day so it would be possible to have several days off during the week. The boys also go to their regular childminder several days a week which would give our au pair time to study or do a bit of light housework. Some days we would need somebody stay overnight on their own with our sons while we are away at work. We are not to be for more than two days at a time and we work quite close to the house so we would be coming back from time to time. Our dates are not fixed and if you wanted to stay for a longer or shorter time this would be fine. The most important thing for us is finding somebody who is nice and responsible to look after our children! As we are in the countryside we need somebody who is able to drive.
