We are a busy, fun and active family with two energetic boys and a dog. I work 3 days a week and my husband works full time. We enjoy spending time with our friends and family and keeping fit. The boys are keen footballers and love practising out in the garden. We live in a town called Farnham which is 50 minutes away from London by train and is close to a lovely city called Guildford which has great shops and bars. There are lots of other au pairs in Farnham and a language college so you will quickly get to know other au pairs close by. You will have your own room with kitchenette, shower and toilet and use of a car, unlimited wifi and a TV in your room. As we have a medium sized dog, we need someone who is happy around dogs and not allergic to them. We would love someone who is willing to become part of our busy family, but who is not afraid to be a bit independent and use their initiative sometimes. We know how daunting it is to leave your family for the first time and come to a new country so we will help you get settled in by giving you some driving lessons, making sure you know the local area, getting you registered at college and getting in touch with other au pairs in Farnham. Once we get to know you and your new friends, we are more than happy for them to our house and spend time with you and us. We want you to enjoy your time in England and go home with new friends and happy memorie
We are looking for someone who can stay from September 2014 until July 2015 The role will include the following: On the 3 days that I work: -ensuring children are up and ready for school, Giving them their breakfast and then driving or walking them both to school -taking dog for a good walk on two of the days (we use a dog walker on the third day) - preparing a meal for children's dinner - picking children up from school - taking children to after school activities such as swimming lessons or gymnastics - giving them their dinner - supervising homework In addition, we would like you to help us with some household duties such as - washing children's clothes and tidying their bedrooms - ironing some shirts - keeping kitchen clean and tidy - helping to keep the rest of the house tidy We would also occasionally like you to pick up some shopping (bread, milk etc when we are running out), run errands (eg taking clothes to dry cleaners) Generally we would like you to babysit a couple of times a week. Some weeks it may be more, some weeks it may be less, and we are always conscious that you want to get out and about to meet your friends, so will make sure that you have plenty of free time to do this.
