We are looking forward to welcoming you to our home! We are looking for a chld-loving, family-oriented au pair to join us in August/September 2014. We have two little ones at home, Dylan, who will be 3 in April and Jason who will be 1 in June. Additionally, Ticho, who will be 14, is Remko's son from his first marriage and lives with us 40% of his time. We hope that our new au pair and Ticho will become friends, but the au pair's primary responsibly would be the care of our two younger children. Remko is Dutch, but has lived in the USA and England. He is a senior executive at a large global company. He enjoys writing, exercising and family time. He sings in the church choir. Maryl is a member of the management team at an International School in the Amsterdam area. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, and her many international friends. Maryl is an American and has lived in France and England prior to living here in the Netherlands. She too sings in the church choir. We live in a large town, Huizen, about 20km outside of Amsterdam. There are a lot of international families and au pairs in the area. While there is plenty of nature and quiet around, it has great transport into the busy cities of Hilversum, Utrecht and Amsterdam are all within about 30 minutes. We hope that our new au pair will enjoy living with us. We look forward to you coming!
Both Maryl and Remko work fulltime. The children are in daycare two days a week and the aupair would be responsible the other three days. In addition to looking after the two children, we ask that the aupair helps us with daily chores pertaining to the children, such as laundry (for the children) cleaning up toys, making and giving some meals, cleaning up the kitchen. Additionally, we do ask for babysitting help on some weekends and evenings. This is always agreed upon ahead of time.
