We both work full time. Philip is a surgeon (doctor), I in customer service. I arrive home at about 6pm most days. We are relaxed, open, dynamic, but also like routine. Our family house is in a 'cul-de-sac' on Richmond Hill by the picturesque 'Richmond village' shops. You will have your own bedroom with TV, the use of the guest shower room and WI-FI connection. Richmond is famous for its many attractions, Richmond Park and Kew Garden. We have a great variety of restaurants, wine bars and cafes, allowing you to relax by the river or on Richmond Green – London’s largest town centre open space. Or you can use the train/tube/metro to be in Central London or out of London in no more than 20 mins.
We need a live-in 'French au-pair' to look after our child for a minimum of 10 months. Experience of looking after 5 to 9 year old children necessary, including: to wake & get him ready for school, to ensure homework done and school bags ready, to drop off and pick up from school (2mins walk, no road to cross!), to tidy bedroom and used areas, check all is brought back from school, take him to and from clubs, facilitate and supervise playdates, to give him his meals, to help with bath routine and get him ready to bed, to babysit 3 evenings during the week, to do some shopping and light housework, to read in & teach him French. You have to be prepared to assist with homework and cook some meals. We would expect you to be honest, caring and firm, mature, relax, reliable, with initiative and enthusiasm. We would prefer if you like sport and classical music. Approximately 25/35 hours per week. You will have time to do a language course or have a part-time job locally but you will have to be available during some of the academic term holidays. Holidays to be agreed with us. No smoker/drinker/pets please.
