Dear Future Au Pair, we are a warm, joyful and active family living in one of the most beautiful green areas of Hamburg, and we are truly excited to get to know you! Our family includes two wonderful little boys who bring so much life and happiness into our home. Our youngest is 7 months old (turning 1 in July) and full of sweet smiles and cuddles. Our older son is 2 (turning 3 in June), curious, energetic and fascinated by everything around him. He attends kindergarten until the early afternoon, which gives the day a nice structure. Our home is filled with laughter, music, stories, creative play and lots of outdoor adventures. Life with us is lively and active – but always loving, respectful and harmonious. We live in a very peaceful, safe and family-friendly neighborhood right next to a beautiful forest. Nature literally starts at our doorstep – perfect for walks, playground visits and little daily adventures with the kids. At the same time, a large shopping center is only about 10 minutes away, and the connection to Hamburg’s city center is excellent. You can easily enjoy everything the city has to offer: culture, cafés, parks, events, language courses and meeting new friends from all over the world. It truly offers the best of both worlds – nature and vibrant city life. Our house is spacious and welcoming. The children have their own playroom and we have a lovely garden where we spend a lot of time, especially in spring and summer. You will have your own large, comfortable room with privacy and space to relax. We want you to feel completely at home here. For us, it is very important that our au pair feels like a real family member, not just someone helping with childcare. We value kindness, open communication, trust and mutual respect. We are looking for someone loving, responsible and caring, who truly enjoys spending time with small children and wants to be part of an active, positive family life. The main focus is childcare and light support in our daily routine. Your tasks would include: - Helping in the morning routine when needed - Caring for our younger son during parts of the morning - Supporting with pick-up from kindergarten (together with us or occasionally independently) - Playing with the children, doing creative activities, going to the playground or for walks - Accompanying us on small outings - Assisting with light household tasks related to the children (tidying toys, preparing simple meals/snacks for the kids, loading/unloading the dishwasher, folding children’s laundry) We do not expect heavy housework. The focus is clearly on the children and being part of our family life. For us, it is important that expectations are clear and fair on both sides. We value reliability, warmth and responsibility and in return, we offer appreciation, respect and a welcoming family environment.
