*Looking for a native Spanish speaking au pair from 15 June 2026 until 15 June 2027 preferably someone who has been an au pair in The Netherlands and understands some Dutch* Hello future au pair, Currently we have an amazing, third, au pair from Colombia, who first was an au pair in the Netherlands. So our kids start to understand a bit of Spanish (our first au pair spoke French). My husband lived in Barcelona for work for 6 months so he speaks Spanish too. We are a warm family of 5 looking for an au pair that can help with our 3 boys. Our youngest turns 3 in March, our second 4 in February and our oldest 8 in August ‘26. They all go to school full time (1 kilometer from the house). You will have to bring them with our cargo bike (urban arrow). We are non-smokers and have no pets. My boys are very active but love cuddling as well as just reading books, playing with cars and so on. We live in a house with a big garden close to the city center. By bike, it takes 5 min to get to the center, as well as the bus and railway station. You will have your own room and bathroom. You also have your own bike. We have several friends with other au pairs (both Mid- and South-American as Asian). Kortrijk is a beautiful city with lots of history. It is a very vibrant city with many things to do (with the Sinksenfeesten as number one). Belgium is not that big, so everything is very close. - 30 min from Bruges - 30 min from Ghent - less then 1 hour to Brussels and Antwerp - or even 30 min with train to Lille (France). It takes 45 min with the train to the beach. But don't expect too much of the Belgian coast, it is not the Bahamas. But in winter time so cozy to take a walk by the beach. Our kids are very important to us so when we are home, we really try to make quality time with them. It is not always that easy to find the time for ourselves, but we love sports. My husband loves cycling, I love hockey. When we can, we try going for a walk or go to the beach during summertime. What are we looking for in our au pair: - been an au pair before - native Spanish speaking and English knowledge (preferably also some Dutch) - she wants to stay 12 months (maximum in Belgium). This is because we see it takes some time to get to know each other and we like some stability for the kids. So, from juni 2026 until June 2027 - between 20–25-year-old (you can’t be 26 at the time the work permit is granted in Belgium, by law) - you have to be able to ride an electric cargo bike (urban arrow) since you are bringing the 3 kids to school with it. - patient, initiative taking, positive, warm - flexible: we have changing schedules every week but always tell them in advance. We are also flexible towards you, so it works in both ways - you have to be a morning person because we get up at 6.15 am. - light household chores (only related to the kids !!) will also be expected such as folding and ironing their clothes (not from us), changing kid’s sheets, organizing the playroom and making healthy meals. We have a cleaning lady so you are not supposed to do the big cleaning of the house - you must know how to swim - non smoker - willing to learn Dutch (obligated by law to follow Dutch classes) We are not-practicing Christians. We don't follow any special diet and don't have any allergies. Our au pair has her own bedroom and large bathroom, her own bike and telephone card.
