We are a bilingual family, living near Angers in the Loire valley, surrounded by chateaux. We are event florists and work on weddings all over France, we work a lot in the garden to make it a beautiful place and receive trainees who wish to become florists themselves. We take a responsible approach to our daily work. We eat as locally as possible and use no pesticides in the garden. Hugo is an ex-landscaper who works with me and grows some of the flowers we work with. Our work is our passion! - We enjoy the cultural life of nearby Angers, as well as dining, and concerts on the banks of the Loire. Oh and yes, we are big foodies! - Our little boy Gaspard is 6 years old and in primary school. He's very affectionate and sociable. He understands everything in English and speaks a little. He loves playing with the playmobile, in the garden, in his tree house, building objects and inventing stories and most of all, reading books, well, someone reading to him :) ! - I was born in New York and am bilingual Hugo is French and speaks little English. - Hoalen, our 13-year-old dog, is an English setter who is very sociable and calm. She loves walks and cuddles!
I would very much like Gaspard to improve in English during the summer, to be able to speak it more and be more at ease with it. Ideally, in more quiet moment (Gaspard in school for ex) we would love the Aupair to help in the garden: deadheading, weeding, flower cutting... Our working season is quite intense and irregular. We have several events in France that require us to travel, and wedding days are long. So there won't be specific and regular hours. we will compensate as it goes. We really want our AuPair to be part of our familly for the time of the stay, for that person and us to feel at ease around each other, make jokes, and enjoy eating together. Having you at home will allow us to take bigger and better breaks, and we'd love to have you join us on sightseeing trips! A car and a bike are available just for you!
