Me and my husband live in a small village in the middle of England, close to Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham. We live a quiet and healthy lifestyle but are really laid back and friendly. I work full time as an Area Manager in retail which involves long and varied hours. My husband works in logistics and works evenings Saturday-Tuesday. We can offer a double bedroom in a brand new 3-storey house with sky tv, use of a car and all mod cons. There is a pub in walking distance and lots of countryside for long walks. Nearby there are also gyms, clubs, museums, shopping centres and lots of historic sites. We have one beautiful little boy who is very happy, interactive and independent. He is, of course, our absolute world and so we expect someone who has previously worked with children, can provide references, has a calm friendly nature and is reliable, responsible and honest. A driving license would be an advantage but not essential. DBS check is essential.
With my husband working Saturday-Tuesday evening you would be doing the bedtime routine and babysitting Sat, Sun, Mon and Tues. I will sometimes be home early evening but not always. In this instance you would be free to go out. You would also need to look after him Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning until my husband wakes up early afternoon and all day Monday and Tuesday. 2 Days off could be chosen from Weds, Thurs or Fri or any day that I am off. We would arrange this with you on a monthly basis as my rotas come in. I would also expect the house to be kept tidy on a daily basis, a full house clean on one of the days you didn't have Rafe and the daily loading of the dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. On the non-childcare working day where the house clean took place I would also like some ironing to be done with the clothes put away. Aside from my specific expectations about the household chores, we are really very laidback. Rafe is a very happy chilled out little boy so you could let him play at home, watch tv or play in the garden but he would also appreciate going to a toddler group, park or swimming (all of which we would pay for)
