Hello dear host family, My name is Evalyne, 24, from Kenya. I’m a self-driven, warm, and trustworthy caregiver with real hands-on childcare experience. I believe every child is unique, and I love creating safe, happy spaces where they can grow through play, learning, and care. I’m always happy to step in whenever needed, and I don’t see childcare as just a job, but as a chance to make a genuine difference in a family’s life. My goal is to give parents peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, happy, and well cared for, even in their absence. I am a warm, patient, understanding, and trustworthy. I’m also responsible, self-driven, and dependable, with a positive outlook on life. I value honesty, respect, and kindness, and I always try to bring encouragement and calm into any situation. I’ve gained valuable experience caring for children through both family and community settings. Coming from a big family with 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 8 nieces and nephews, I’ve always been surrounded by kids and naturally taken on a caregiving role. Beyond family, I also volunteered at Grace Community Children’s Centre, where I mainly supported children with special needs and at Heart Free Initiative, where I cared for vulnerable children through play, crafts, learning activities, and daily routines. These experiences have strengthened my patience, responsibility, adaptability, and understanding, while teaching me how to create safe, fun, and loving environments where children can thrive. My motivation to become an Au Pair comes from my genuine love for cultural exchange and caring for others. I see this journey as more than just childcare, it’s about building trust, supporting families, and creating a safe, happy space where children can thrive. At the same time, I’m excited to experience a new culture, learn a new language, and grow as an individual while becoming part of a family abroad.
Becoming an Au Pair will also allow me to further expand my childcare experience, learning new approaches to parenting and family life in a different country. I believe every child is unique, and each family teaches you something new. For me, this opportunity is not only about giving my best to the children I care for, but also about becoming a better, more experienced caregiver for the future. In my free time, I love going for walks, cycling, hiking, and exploring new places. I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, trying out new recipes, and having fun conversations. These activities keep me active, balanced, and happy.
