Dear potential host family, About me, well, my name is Rosejane. I am single, and I am 25 years old. I studied for 4 years in college with a course in hotel and restaurant management. I also have a certificate in housekeeping and cookery. I have 3 family members. My dad, mum and one younger sister. I’m currently working as a waitress at Steak House in Macao, and my duties was taking orders and serving food, making salads, and making drinks. I also clean the dining area before closing the restaurant. I have been working here since October 2022, and my employment contract will end in October 2023. I have been a domestic helper to a Chinese family in Macao, China from December 2018 until December 2020. My duties and responsibilities include: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning ceiling vents, cleaning bathrooms, and cleaning all the furniture. Help prepare food ingredients, wash and iron clothes, and wash dishes. If it’s needed, change the bed linens, curtains, and bath towels. I accompany the 8-year-old kid to school. My salary is MOP5,500 every month, and I have 1 day off per week, every Sunday. I start my duties at 9:00 a.m., and I finished all my duties at 6:00 p.m. I decided to become an Au Pair because I would like to experience life in Europe, learn a new culture and language, and become part of a host family, taking care of children and helping with household chores. I would also like to make minor excursions or trips to get to know the rest of the country and perhaps even a more of the EU. When I return in my home country, I will have gained many new skills and made new friends from around the world. I am an independent worker. I can multi-task between childcare and housekeeping duties. I am also a patient, adaptable and attentive person who really loves children and enjoys the company of children, and I believe this is what is most important to you as a parent. I would be grateful to lend a helping hand to your family, and I believe I can be a positive and helpful addition to your household.
