Persönliche Einführung

My name is Darci, and I’m currently finishing my A Levels in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK, ready to begin my au pair journey in September 2026. Currently I am 17, however, I turn 18 in May. I study Business, Politics and Media (Film Studies), and I have a genuine passion for learning - especially when it comes to politics. I have a strong understanding of the UK and US political systems (yes, I’m that person who actually enjoys following elections!), and I love meaningful conversations about the world around us. More importantly, I absolutely adore working with children. From a young age, I’ve always been the caring one, the person who makes sure everyone is okay, included, and smiling. That natural instinct has grown into a real passion for childcare. I have experience volunteering in a primary school (ages 4-11), babysitting, and I’m continuing to build my experience by volunteering with younger children in a nursery setting. Growing up with both younger and older siblings has also made me very confident handling everything from bedtime routines to the occasional “that’s not fair!” sibling debate! I’m active and energetic, so keeping up with children won’t be a problem. I play netball and football, occasionally hockey, and I’ve been part of a road cycling club, so I’m very confident on a bike. I love being outdoors, exploring new places and trying new activities. I also love travelling and discovering new cultures, food and traditions, which is one of the reasons I’m so excited about becoming an au pair in abroad! Cooking is another big passion of mine. I’ve worked as a chef in my father’s restaurants, which means I can cook to a high standard and prepare healthy, balanced meals. I’m more than happy to help with cooking and keeping things tidy - I understand that being an au pair is about becoming a supportive and responsible member of the family! Academically, I’m strong and would love to help your children with homework, whether that’s maths, English, or even encouraging curiosity about the wider world. My goal isn’t just to supervise, but to support, engage, encourage and help children grow in confidence. I am completing my first aid training and already have CPR and basic resuscitation skills, so your children would always be in safe and responsible hands. I’m also currently learning to drive and will have my licence and at least 4 months passed experience by the time I begin which will enable me to do school drop off/pick up and any other driving related experienced. I may be young, but I am hardworking, reliable, independent and genuinely motivated to be a positive and memorable part of your children’s lives. I would love to become not just an au pair, but someone your family feels comfortable with, trusts, enjoys having around and hope to build long term relationship with your family!
