Persönliche Einführung

My name is Alba, I am 19 years old and I come from Hamburg, Germany. I graduated from high school (Abitur) this summer and afterwards spent three months traveling through Southeast Asia. I plan to start my studies in October next year and would like to use the time until then as a meaningful gap year. Becoming an au pair is the perfect opportunity for me, as I absolutely love children and enjoy spending time with them. The age of the children does not really matter to me, as I feel comfortable caring for both younger and older children. I have seven younger cousins whom I regularly take care of, and I also have two years of babysitting experience with different families. During my babysitting jobs, I often picked the children up from school, spent the afternoon with them doing different activities, and in the evenings I helped with dinner, bedtime routines and putting the children to bed. I truly enjoyed all aspects of childcare and always had a lot of fun doing so. During my au pair stay, I would love to gain many new experiences, get to know a new culture and become part of everyday family life. I speak German and English fluently, and I would also be very happy to learn a new language during my stay. In my free time, I am very interested in all kinds of art, especially fashion, photography, film and music. I also go to the gym regularly and enjoy staying active. I am a very family-oriented person, and my friends and family always come first. My friends would describe me as creative, loving and attentive. I would be happy to support my host family in their daily life and create a positive, caring and reliable environment for the children. I wish to find an open and warm-hearted host family where I can feel like a real part of the family. A respectful, friendly and honest relationship is very important to me, and I am truly looking forward to sharing everyday life and creating wonderful memories together.
