Persönliche Einführung
Liebe Gastfamilie,
My name is Gadis Alfiya Kadrun Nada but my family call me with Nada, I am 22 years old, and I come from Banyuwangi, a beautiful city in Indonesia. Currently, I am finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Management. I come from a warm and loving family, and I have always been the "big sister" figure who loves being around children.
I would love to be your Au Pair because I want to experience German culture firsthand and improve my language skills, as I plan to pursue a professional education (Ausbildung) in Germany in the future.
My Experiences with Children I have extensive experience in childcare, both personal and formal. Growing up, I looked after my younger sibling every day, helping with everything from daily routines to assisting with primary school homework.
Currently, I frequently take care of my two cousins (aged 1 and 4 years old) who usually visit my house on weekends or during my holidays. I am very comfortable handling the needs of the 1-year-old, such as feeding, changing diapers, and managing bedtime routines. Meanwhile, for the 4-year-old, I love organizing creative activities like building Lego, drawing, and reading stories, as well as outdoor activities like riding bicycles. I always try to encourage active play rather than letting them play with gadgets.
In addition to caring for my family, I also have formal experience. During my university's Community Service Program (KKN), I volunteered as a teacher at a local Elementary School for three months. My role was to assist teachers, manage the classroom, and create fun learning activities for the students. This experience taught me how to handle a larger group of children with patience and responsibility.
Household & Hobbies Besides childcare, I really enjoy being in the kitchen. I like baking small snacks and cooking simple Indonesian meals like Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice). If you like, I would be happy to cook for your family sometimes!
As a Management student and a small business owner, I am a very independent and organized person. I am willing to help with light housework, such as sweeping, vacuuming, loading the dishwasher, or keeping the children's room tidy.
Language I speak fluent Indonesian and good English. To be honest, my German is currently at a beginner level (A1), but I am highly motivated and learning intensively to prepare for my arrival. I am not afraid of challenges and I am eager to learn from you.
Thank you very much for reading my letter. I would be very happy to get to know you and your children better.
Viele Grüße aus Indonesien,
Gadis Alfiya
