Persönliche Einführung
Dear Future Host Family,
Warm greetings to you and family! My name is Mavis, and I’m so excited about the possibility of joining your family as an Au Pair. I come from a big, lively family with lots of siblings and cousins, so caring for children has always felt very natural to me, and caring for my younger siblings and cousins taught me patience, responsibility, and how fulfilling it can be to care for kids.
Over the past few years, I have also gained hands-on experience as a nanny and childminder, caring for children of different ages, including infants and toddlers so it's safe to say that I'm well versed. (◠‿◕)
I decided to become an Au pair because I love the idea of traveling and discovering new cultures, learning from a different family environment, and learning new languages too (I aim to be fluently Multi-lingual) which I believe will help me grow personally while doing something meaningful. I am currently studying Health Science, and my interest in childcare, and family care fits perfectly with the Au Pair experience too.
To add to my skills, I have completed several childcare-related trainings such as Childcare Certification, First Aid, Early Childhood Development, and a CNA training and I am confident in my ability to support children’s daily routines, keep them safe, and engage them in fun, age-appropriate, and educational activities. I enjoy helping with homework and can assist especially well in subjects like Math, English, and what have you.
My hobbies include cooking—especially when trying out dishes from different cultures—reading, cycling, and doing creative activities like arts and crafts. I am also comfortable helping with light household chores, tidying, meal prep, and grocery shopping. I’m always happy to contribute to the smooth running of a home.
If my friends or family were to describe me, they would probably say I am reliable, calm(I get this a lot), Observant and a good listener, funny(maybe 。◕‿◕), responsible/ a bit reserved (but not too reserved), a bit serious (in certain situations), respectful, and easy to get along with. I don’t smoke or drink alcohol, I am tidy and I take commitments seriously. I also hold a valid passport and I’m ready to start whenever your family needs.
Also,
-My schedule is flexible, so I can easily adapt to your family's routine.
- I am a decent swimmer and I am also good at supervising kids whilst they swim.
-I am good at bicycle riding.
-I do not have any health issues.
During my Au Pair stay, I hope to become a trusted support for your family and a caring 'big sister' figure to your children. I’m looking forward to experiencing your culture, create strong memories, and sharing my own culture with your family too.
Thank you so much for considering my application. I am looking forward to meeting with and getting to know your family better. (◠‿・)—☆
Warmest Regards,
Mavis
