Persönliche Einführung
Dear Host Families,
About Me
My name is Sharon, I’m 29 years old and I’m from Kisumu, Kenya. I come from a loving family of six—my mother, three sisters, a brother, and myself. Sadly, we lost our father when we were children, and since then, my mother has worked hard to support us through her own small business. Growing up in such a close-knit and supportive family has shaped me into a caring, humble, and responsible person. I completed my secondary education at Upper Hill Secondary School. I consider myself a respectful person who follows instructions and always aims to do my best. I am also very open-minded, always ready to embrace new experiences, learn from different cultures, and adapt to new environments.
Why I Want to Be an Au Pair
I would love to become a big sister to the children in my future host family. My goal is to build a respectful and trusting relationship with both the children and the parents. I want to contribute positively to your home by being responsible, reliable, and loving towards your children.
My Childcare Experience
I have cared for children of all ages. I’ve helped raise my siblings, looked after my nephews and neighbors' children, and worked as a nanny both in Kenya and Saudi Arabia. While in Saudi Arabia, I also assisted in caring for my employer’s diabetic mother, preparing meals and helping with light duties. I cared for my grandmother when she was ill until her passing. These experiences have taught me to be patient, dependable, and compassionate in various caregiving situations.
Availability and Duration
I am available to start as soon as possible and open to staying for 12 to 24 months—or even longer if needed.
Life with the Host Family
When I’m away from home, I see my host family as my new family. I enjoy sharing meals, joining in daily routines, and creating a warm, friendly home environment. I would love to be fully involved in family life.
Tasks I'm Comfortable With
I’m flexible and happy to help with a variety of tasks, including:
Childcare
Cooking and meal preparation
Cleaning and ironing
Doing laundry
Helping with homework and reading
Going on nature walks
Caring for pets
And more, as needed
Other Information
I have no dietary restrictions and am willing to adapt to your family’s lifestyle and culture. I’m excited to learn and grow through this experience. I have a valid passport and am willing to contribute to travel costs if needed. I’m open to being an au pair in any eligible country.
Interests and Hobbies
I love singing, exploring nature, trying new recipes, and learning new languages. I can understand basic German, French, and Arabic, although I don’t hold certificates yet. My main interest is creating a safe, caring, and joyful environment for children where they feel loved, supported, and free to grow.
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully becoming a part of your wonderful family.
Warm regards,
Sharon
