Persönliche Einführung
Dear family,
My name is Sandy, I am 20 years old and I am currently studying law at one of the best universities in the country with the aim of specializing in international law later on. I have a sister who is 4 years younger than me and I have been living alone for a year now.
Since I was 17 years old, I have been looking after a little girl, who was 6 years old at the time, two to three times a week for 3 to 4 hours. During the vacations or at weekends I usually spend the whole day with her.
However, I have been working with children since I was 15. I started tutoring in the 10th grade and helped children between the ages of 6 and 16 with their schoolwork, individually tailored to the child.
I completed my student internship in a kindergarten and spent 2 weeks in the nursery, learning how to work with babies and toddlers.
I love being around children. There is nothing better for me than teaching them new words, principles and information and watching them apply them and slowly but surely grow into independent and confident little people. I want to help children bring out the best in themselves and stand by them in difficult and unknown situations and moments and provide a safe caregiver to support and guide them.
If I can combine this with a stay abroad, a dream that is very close to my heart, a lifelong dream would come true for me.
I am perfectly suited for the job of an au pair and nanny because I am not only very experienced in dealing with children of all ages, but also because I am extremely ambitious, patient, assertive, critical and empathetic. I am adaptable and learn very quickly and can implement newly acquired knowledge immediately. Furthermore, I am open-minded and can deal with any kind of person.
Thanks to my training as a conflict mediator at school, solution-oriented problem solving is also one of my strengths.
I quickly build up an emotional bond with children and always put them and their well-being above my own at all times.
Furthermore, I know how to run a household sustainably and look after a child at the same time.
Not only my personality, but also my educational, emotional and physical abilities make me more than suitable for the job of an au pair and nanny.
