We are a busy, active family with 3 children: a 7 year old boy Jun, his 4 year old brother Kai and their young 2 year old sister Mei. Chris (the father of the family) works full-time as a project manager for an engineering company whilst Asuka (the mother) is currently re-training to become a mid-wife. We need our au pair to be pro-active (to generate their own ideas for things to do and spot jobs that need doing around the home) and to be self-sufficient (to be able to look after them selves, manage their own time and activities). We are a very active family and will look for an au pair who is sporty or who enjoys doing activities outdoors with others.
Each week will be different due to our changing timetable. Some days, you will be only working 2 hours and you will be then free to go and attend English lessons in Oxford. Other days, will be longer. In total, it will not be more than 30 hours a week. A typical week would be... 07:30-09:00 Mon-Friday: Help with breakfast and getting children ready for the day then take the two boys to school. 09:00-15:00 3~4 days per week Mon-Fri: Look after Mei (including taking her out for activities and meeting her friends) 15:00-17:30 Mon-Friday: Collect boys from school and take them to after-school activities/clubs or play with them at home or outdoors. Evening and weekends will generally be free, unless arranged previously.
