We are a young, friendly, hard working professional family who live in Oxford. Our names are Payashi (mum), David (dad), Joseph (8 years old) and Hannah (5). We also have a black and white cat called Max. Mum and Dad both work as hospital doctors, full time as well as weekends and nights. Dad is fluent in French. We are very down to earth and laid back, and enjoy movies, music, good food and outdoor activities such as walking, running and swimming. We are looking for someone who would be a loving and caring 'big sister' to our children, who is willing to help out when things get busy but also experience Oxford and the UK culture in full.
A typical day would start at 7am and finish at 6pm. The hours between 9am and 3.10pm will be free. You will be working 3-5 days a week, depending on mum's shifts. You will also be required to babysit on 2 nights a week. Your duties will mainly involve looking after Joseph and Hannah while mum is at work. Your duties will involve getting the children up and dressed, and making breakfast. You will then drop them off at school. They are both within easy walking distance and a bicycle will also be provided for your personal use. You will then pick the children up from school at 3.10pm. You would entertain them at home, take them to any groups or activities they may have and make supper. Mum or Dad are usually home by 6pm - 6.30pm. You will be responsible for light housework only, including laundry, keeping the house tidy, helping make the evening meal and occasional grocery shopping. You will not be expected to do any cleaning.
