Hello, we are the Morgan-Cook's. Will, Ruth, Oscar and Arabella. Oscar is nearly 5 and Arabella is nearly 3. We are looking for a fun and reliable au pair to live with us in our 3 bedroom traditional Welsh cottage in the city centre of Newport, which is a short 10 minute train journey to the capital city of Wales, Cardiff. We enjoy being outdoors, whether it is walks in the parks, local wildlife reserves, or adentures in the welsh countryside. We are a fun, happy and caring family. Our au pair should be confident, responsible and have a good knowledge of English. My husband and I are busy professionals, Will works as a care home manager and I work in HR, and despite our busy lives family always comes first. We live in a traditional house with walled garden, the children enjoy playing in the garden in all weather's. We have lots of mountains and hills nearby as well as great transport links to the rest of the UK. We have lots of family and friends around the country and regularly go to visit them, our Au Pair is welcome to come along and see the areas and join in with the family. We try to all have dinner together, as think it is an important time to share with each other the events of each day. We really enjoy cooking and baking, we encourage the children to join in and to learn things. Both children love to play with their lego, Oscar also loves cars and reading books, Arabella loves playing with her dolls. Our previous au pair enjoyed an active social life meeting with other au pairs in our local area most weeks.
Our Au Pair will be expected to take Oscar to his Primary school and Arabella to a morning session of nursery. You would then pick Arabella up and prepare lunch, and tidy up afterwards. During the afternoon you would lead activities with Arabella and then pick up Oscar from school, give the children their dinner, and supervise homework and some play. We would expect our Au Pair to clean and tidy up after the children whilst encouraging them to help. We encourage our au pair to join in family life with us and join us on activities with the children. Our au pair would have weekends off as we both work Monday-Friday. You will have your own bedroom, use of 2 sitting rooms, and WiFi throughout the house.
