We are a young, busy and quirky family. I am a single mum to my super active sons aged 5, 2 and 2. We love mud, legos, frilly skirts, roller derby, dancing like loons, hiding in dens, reading stories and making them up. We do lots of arts and crafts and like to run bare feet in the park. The kids are a bit like mad puppies and they make life so much more fun. To be honest I am a bit like a mad puppy too ;-) We have just relocated to London so we are currently living in a small two bed flat but it is in the best location in London, ie Highbury and Islington and basically close to everything! The boys and me will be sharing a room.
We are looking for someone : -Reliable and punctual. You must be on time as I rely on you to be on time to work! -Responsible. I must feel like I can leave my children with you. The position will start as mother's help as I am currently looking for work. Hours and pay will increase accordingly. -Flexible: I am a single mum with 3 kids so there's quite a few different schedules going on at one. Things often change last minute. -Creative. You must be able to organise fun stuff (not educational, just FUN!) for the kids -Super patient. Our family is loud and intense. Our boys question a lot of stuff we say and that's ok. Our eldest has A LOT of questions that we always answer truthfully. I don’t really discipline the kids but rather talk them through what happened and why it is or isn’t a reasonable situation. -Good at communicating. If something isnt working, we need to know! -Not necessarily experienced. You however must genuinely love children and be willing to learn. -Skilled in the kitchen or willing to learn. You must be able to prepare a simple (vegan) meal and prep vegs etc. Bonus if you can bake vegan treats as well! -Caring and genuinely interested in children and helping turn them into fantastic adults. -Organised. I have a weekly activity and meal plan. I also like to throw these out the window every now and then. -Tidy and clean. Tidying up after games, arts and crafts, bath time, meals etc. Keeping the boys room tidy and keeping on top of the dishes and laundry. -Vegan. Or at least veggie. -Queer friendly
