Dear au pair, We are a family of 3 with a 14 months old toddler. I am the mum (French national) and I am due to go back to work (mainly working from home) early August. I need help for someone to look after my daughter when she is not at nursery. We have a lovely home 100m away from the sea with our garden giving onto a lovely park. We are based in Hove, which provides you the city life in a quiet nautical environment. Your furnished bedroom will be confortable & quiet, if you have specific requirements do let us know and we will try to accommodate as much as possible so you have a pleasant stay & experience with us. In term of remuneration we will follow the au pair guideline but it is something we can discuss once we hear at you have to offer. We do have a level of flexibility, by having an au pair we are looking for a stable environment for our daughter when I am working and an easier life in general. Numerous language courses are in the area and we have very easy access to Brighton, shops, cinemas, social life ect…with public transports only 50 meters away from our home. I would also be delighted to help you settling in with your British life experience. To describe our family in few words: active, sportive, outdoors, warm, social and caring. Our expectations of the au pair is to look after our daughter when I am working and when she is not at her nursery – when she is at nursery I would expect the au pair to help with some household duties. I would also expect for the au pair to look after my daughter when for some health reasons she cannot go to nursery – so I can work without disruption. We may occasionally require baby sitter services. We expect the au pair to be sensible, active, streetwise and if you had experiences with toddlers it would be a real bonus.
